Even if you don’t want to book a cruise package, you can check the cruise lines’ websites to get an overview of the activities you can do during your stay in port.
If you’re a little more adventurous than others, grab a map to explore the cities on foot. Ask locals to recommend the best places to go and the most exciting things to do.
Consider the Essentials

For example, if you’re going to a fancy restaurant, you may need to dress up. For those who want to explore nature, comfortable shoes are more important than heels or clothes. I would also recommend bringing reef-safe sunscreen, several pairs of sunglasses, and no more than three pairs of flip-flops. It would help if you always carried aloe vera or cooling cream in case you get sunburned. Always have a beach towel, sun hat, and water shoes. Make sure you have everything you need, including your plane ticket and any other documents.

Going on vacation without travel insurance is never a good idea, especially for frequent travelers or digital nomads. Simple accidents can cause significant financial and emotional damage.
You should also be aware of your airline’s cancellation policy and the steps you can take if something happens to your flight.
